Behind the Screen 2002
'What attracted me the most in this project was the possibility to work with three different universes at once: Brazil, England, Finland, and myself. Three cultures having a dialogue in an artistic work made with computers'.
'Composed without glue or any other technology which could fix the parts, the objects were scanned and immediately after dissolved. While poems, they are fused image writing'.
The Finnish cross section on the use of ICT in Art Education consisted of student work produced in five different workshops - These multimedia, interactive multimedia and hypermedia workshops, used applications such as Adobe PhotoShop and MacroMedia Director, and peripherals such as scanners and digital cameras.
These workshops provided 90 postgraduate students an opportunity to visualise the 'good, bad and ugly' sides of technologies in the 21st century. Paradoxically the overall student (visual) response was that new technologies provide both threats and opportunities in the postmodern world.
