My practice for this semester has developed into performance with a recurring character whose identity is hidden at all times with a mask and suit. I am closely looking at how society labels individuals based on appearance and as a consequence we are quick to judge. I have also taken this character ‘viral’ with cryptic video clips on YouTube under the name of John Smith. |

Aarron Lindsey: Project/Placement Abstract
Following a strong personal interest in performance I explored the possibility of working with several theatre groups. Issues related to funding and bids applications restricted options and I elected to complete my objective by recording/documenting a sporting event. Fencing has always been a personal interest and the video footage of training sessions and competition performance served to support the fencing clubs interests and my studio work. |
Donna ClarkeMy studio practice looks at the relationship between animals and humans. I look at the cruelty that is inflicted upon animals via humans. In my practice I want to show how humans cannot survive without animals. Through the media of sculpture I will show the contrast of fear and fragility.

Donna Clarke: Project/Placement Abstract
Selecting a local public community event I wanted to draw attention to animal cruelty which is a major issue in my studio practice. I wanted to provoke reaction and especially engage with children to access their views and opinions. I prepared statements and response materials (writing/drawing) so I would have a record of the community’s views on the state of animal abuse and where they see animals in today’s society. My current practice explores the relationship between animals and humans and how animals can often be seen as insignificant by man. |
